music poem – part 5 & 6

Aug 5, 2024

I really enjoy writing poems or songs. Here’s another song about loneliness and another about cliffs.

Verse 1
Lying here, the night is still,
Pillow soft, but I feel the chill.
Thoughts of you, they fill my mind,
In this silence, it’s your voice I find.

Pre-Chorus
Tears fall like rain, I wipe them away,
Miles between us, but I long for the day.
day by day, life passes me by,
With my notebook, I think about you in the night

Chorus
What are you doing, can you hear my call?
You’re the only one who can break this fall.
Your voice is comforting, a soothing sound,
In this lonely darkness, you’re all around.

Verse 2
The sunset’s glow, it paints the sky,
A canvas of colors, as the night draws nigh.
But here in the shadows, I feel so blue,
Every line pleads, I’m missing you.

Pre-Chorus
my mind echos your voice, loud and clear,
In every moment, I wish you were near.
Art in your touch, you create with grace,
But I’m here alone, in this empty space.

Chorus
What are you doing, can you hear my call?
You’re the only one who can break this fall.
Your voice is comforting, a soothing sound,
In this lonely darkness, you’re all around.

Bridge
So hand me a tissue, hold me close,
In this quiet hour, it’s you I need most.
With every song, I’m longing for you,
through these clouds, your love shines through

Chorus
What are you doing, can you hear my call?
You’re the only one who can break this fall.
Your voice is comforting, a soothing sound,
In this lonely darkness, you’re all around.

Outro
So here I sit, with thoughts of you,
In this silent night, I’ll make it through.
With every thought, you seem nearer,
wondering if you miss me as much as I miss you here.

Chorus
I don’t want to sleep; I want to think of you,
You mean more to me than rest ever could do.
I’ll stay awake as long as you sing,
Holding on to this moment the edge of the brink.

I love the way you dare to look down below,
Into the abyss where few would go.
Your awe captivates me, yet you turn your back,
With resolve in your eyes, you stay on your track.
A few stone blocks crumble, yet you stand so tall,
determined you’re facing the unknown, unafraid of the fall.

The cliffs are steep and frightening high,
In deep despair, you’ve climbed without the fear of fall
one might think you’re weary of this life
But with everything to lose, you stand against it all.

You feel it with every nerve, as the sky turns dangerously red,
You stand here unafraid, facing the unknown path
You don’t care how far you’ve strayed from what you once knew.
Embracing the wild, with nothing and everything to lose.

With every step, you challenge fate
facing the dark, chasing the fear away
In the depths, your cry touches the edge of the cliff,
Your sound resounds against the walls, standing firm against the rift.

Taking the full risk, ready to heed the call,
betting every part of your heart, and put your soul on top
No mountain is too high, no challenge to steep
with every heartbeat, your resolve runs deep.

I look down below, then gaze back up at you,
You reach out your hand, pulling me through.
I’m not sure if we’re safer, but I feel the thrill,
For the view is breathtaking, and my heart is still.

You pull me from the blue, easing my fear,
You hold my hand tightly, keeping me near.
In this moment together, we face what’s ahead,
With your strength beside me, I know I won’t dread

With you, the cliff feels like a gentle rise,
You know my pockets, you see through my eyes.
I need nothing more than you, by my side
With your hand in mine, we’ll take depths and heights.
